Being able to quickly clean your floors without breaking a sweat used to be a dream, but robot vacuums have made the dream a reality. With the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop, you can simply set a schedule and enjoy clean floors every day. I was excited to test drive this robot vacuum for myself to see how well it worked to replace traditional vacuuming and mopping.

Overview of Features

As someone with pets, I need a robot vacuum that not only picks up pet hair easily but navigates around pets without bumping into them. The Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop features advanced LiDAR navigation and can identify over 100 obstacles. This prevents it from banging into furniture, getting tangled in pet toys, or accidentally grabbing a curious tail.

Picking up pet hair, dirt, dust, and other things on your floor is a breeze with 4,000 Pa suction. It can auto-adjust to increase suction when carpet is detected for a deeper clean. Plus, it’s a 2-in-1 robot that can mop and vacuum at the same time.

Dreame Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum And Mop Review Overview

At the lowest suction level (there are four), the vacuum can last for up to 150 minutes and handle up to 2,690 sq. ft. per charge. For mopping, it can clean up to 2,152 sq. ft. per charge. The 570 ml dust bin and 270 ml water tank prevent you from having to empty or refill too often.

While the sensors alone are impressive for mapping rooms and avoiding obstacles, this is just the beginning. You can control the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum with the MI Home app and Amazon Alexa. With the app, you can set up different rooms and zones, map out areas you don’t want cleaned, adjust cleaning areas, change vacuum and mop levels, and much more.

Getting Started

Dreame Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum And Mop Review Box

The Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop is almost ready to use right out of the box. All you have to do is snap on the brush, remove the rubber bumpers (for shipping purposes), and let it charge.

I also like that the charging base has an anti-skid bottom to prevent it from sliding easily if anything bumps it. It surprisingly stayed in place even with my pets bumping it as they ran by.

The mop pad is already installed on the mop tank, which you can slide into the bottom of the vacuum easily.

After letting it fully charge, which is recommended before the first use, I downloaded the MI Home app. It will only let you add the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro if you’re connected to a 2.4 GHz network. This may mean you need to manually change your network frequency or move further from your router for the initial connection.

The app recognized the vacuum in less than a minute, then I was able to access all the settings. It’s actually one of the easiest smart device apps I’ve used.

Vacuuming for the First Time

Technically, you don’t need to use the app for basic vacuuming and mopping. There are three buttons on the top of the vacuum. The square does a quick spot clean in a square shape, the power button starts or pauses vacuuming, and the house button returns the vacuum back to the base.

If you have the mop pad and tank installed, it’ll default to the Standard vacuum and mop levels. However, you won’t be able to control any zones, block off areas, or adjust the levels without the app.

The first round with the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop was a little rocky. The instructions state the vacuum needs to take a moment to scan and map the room, which is pretty normal for robot vacuums. However, the vacuum spent a good five minutes moving haphazardly around the room before it started to vacuum, which was in a completely random pattern. A few areas were completely missed.

Fast-forward to session number two and things were completely different. There was a predictable back and forth pattern and nothing was overlooked.

The spot clean took only a few minutes and didn’t have any delays at all. It simply stops once the spot cleaning is over unless you tell it to go back to the charging base.

What’s really impressive is how well it avoids obstacles. The instructions recommend moving smaller objects out of the way and straightening furniture. To test out the LiDAR navigation, I put a small box in a path that had already been mapped. The vacuum slowed as it got closer and then moved around it without ever touching the box.

The same thing happened as my curious cat decided the vacuum shouldn’t pass. Out of all the robot vacuums I’ve ever used, this one has the best obstacle detection. It doesn’t even bump against furniture, but still cleans the edges of the floors extremely well.

A few others things that really impressed me were:

  • Areas you don’t want to vacuum or mop can be easily blocked off in the app and different floor levels in your home can be mapped out.
  • The suction level auto adjusted with no problem when switching from hard floor to carpet (this can be turned on or off).
  • The quietest level was so quiet, there’s no need to turn the TV up.

The only complaint here was the remote in the app. Any time I used the left or right arrows to turn it, the vacuum would do a complete 360, or at best, a 180 turn versus just slightly turning.

However, the rest of the app is great.

A Thorough Mop

It’s recommended to vacuum three to four times before your first mop. Once that was done, mopping was a breeze. All I had to do was wet the cloth mop pad and fill the tank. I was impressed that the pad doesn’t just velcro on. Instead, there’s a slot to slide the back of the pad into to keep it more secure.

Dreame Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum And Mop Review Mopping

I started with Standard as my mopping level. (There are three total.) I could see a noticeable difference in how the floor looked before and after. Footprints, streaks, and dirt were all gone. You can only use water, but that’s all that was needed.

Even better is the fact that the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop only left the floor slightly damp. It was completely dry within five minutes at most. This is perfect for pets that love running across a freshly mopped floor.

I do wish it came with a second mop pad as a spare in case the other is in the wash. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Final Thoughts

Dreame Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum And Mop Review Final

You couldn’t really ask for a better combination of obstacle detection, navigation, and cleaning power. The app even shows you how much expected use is still left for each component.

The only real flaws I could find were the initial mapping seemed to take longer than it should, and the remote in the app for manual control doesn’t work as it should.

My floors looked just as good if not better than when I use a manual mop and a heavy upright vacuum. Carpet or hardwood, it does amazing on both and doesn’t flip up rugs as it moves around.

While this was already a great price at $489.99, you can score an amazing deal now by using the code DREAME39 and get the Dreametech Bot L10 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop for just $389.99 from 11/22 – 11/28.
