How to Block Someone on TikTok

Strangely enough, blocking someone on TikTok is not very straightforward. You have to poke around a bit to find the option, which is hidden under an unlikely menu.

Mobile

Block someone on TikTok by navigating to their profile.

When watching videos via your TikTok feed, the video poster’s account name should appear on the lower-left side of the display. Tap on it to be taken to their profile. If you spot a comment on a clip or live feed, tap on the person’s profile image to go to their profile.

How to Unblock Someone on TikTok

It’s possible to unblock the TikTok accounts you previously restricted.

Search for the TikTok user account using the app’s search function. While TikTok mentions that once you block someone, you won’t be able to find the profile anymore, that’s not really the case. In my experience, the opposite was true. There will be a small Blocked by you tag underneath the username once you’ve identified the account.

If you don’t remember the name of the account(s) you blocked, follow the steps below.
